  1. Legal Assistant – DPCC – Degree in Law from a recognized university. 2. Three years’ experience as a Legal Practitioner or one year experience in Legal work in a Government Department. 
  2. Legal Assistant – DUSIB – 1. Possessing Regular Degree in Law (entitling the incumbent for registration at bar and appearing before the courts) from a recognized university or equivalent and 2. 03 years’ experience at Bar. 
  3. Legal Assistant – Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs – 1. Degree in Law from an accredited university. 2. Two years of experience as a lawyer or one year of experience managing legal matters in a PSU or government agency.
  4. Legal Assistant – DTC – 1. Graduate in Law from a recognized institution established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or Provincial Act, or a State Act, or any other institution or foreign institution approved by the Central Government. 2. At least one-year experience of working with advocate and enrolled with Bar Council. 3. The ability to read and write in Hindi is a must.

PREPARATION TIPS:

1. Know the Eligibility & Selection Process

  • The DSSSB Combined Examination 2026 notification (Advt. No. 01/2026) has been released for 911 vacancies including Grade II / Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Legal Assistant, Junior Engineer (JE), Assistant Engineer (AE) etc.
  • Selection is generally through a competitive written exam. Some posts may have Tier-I and Tier-II stages, depending on the post applied for.

2. Understand the Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Although specifics may vary by post, the DSSSB exam pattern typically includes:
