Candidates must check their medical standards before applying for the junior engineer posts.

RRB JE Nationality Criteria

A candidate must be one of the following:

  • An Indian citizen
  • A citizen of Nepal
  • A subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962, intending to permanently settle here
  • An Indian-origin person who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, & East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia), intending to permanently settle in India.

Application Fee Refund Terms

  • Only candidates who appear in the 1st Stage CBT exam will be eligible for the refund of the application fee after deduction of applicable bank charges.
  • If the candidate’s application is rejected, incomplete, submitted with incorrect details, or the candidate does not appear for the 1st Stage CBT, there will be no refund of the fees.
  • To receive the refund successfully, candidates must confirm that their bank account information is accurate.

  • Select your engineering branch (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, S&T, etc.) and set post preferences (JE, DMS, CMA).

Step 3: Fill Details & Preferences

  • Fill in educational qualifications, category, and preferred exam language.
  • Enter Bank Account Details (Account No. & IFSC Code) to receive the CBT 1 fee refund.

Step 4: Upload Media & Documents

  • Capture a clear photo via webcam/mobile camera on a plain background.
  • Upload a scanned signature on white paper with black ink (JPEG format, 30–50 KB).
  • SC/ST candidates must upload community certificates (PDF, up to 400 KB) for free rail travel passes.

Step 5: Fee Payment & Final Submission

  • Pay the application fee (₹500 for UR/OBC/EWS & ₹250 for SC/ST/PwBD/Female/Ex-SM) via Net Banking, Card, or UPI.
  • Recheck & click on Final Submit.

Terms of Fee Refund

  • Only candidates who appear in the 1st Stage CBT exam will be eligible for the refund of the application fee after deduction of applicable bank charges.
  • If the candidate’s application is rejected, incomplete, submitted with incorrect details, or the candidate does not appear for the 1st Stage CBT, there will be no refund of the fees.
  • To receive the refund successfully, candidates must confirm that their bank account information is accurate.
