Selection Process for TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2026
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Group 4 recruitment to select candidates for various entry-level posts in different departments of the Tamil Nadu government. The selection process for the TNPSC Group 4 exam in 2026 primarily involves two stages:
- Written Examination: offline mode using OMR sheets
- Document Verification and Counselling
Exam Pattern
The TNPSC Group 4 paper is 3 hours long, having 300 questions. TNPSC Group 4 is an objective-type paper (OMR Method). The minimum qualifying mark is 90 for all categories. The questions in Part A will be set in Tamil only, and the questions on the General Studies & Aptitude & Mental Ability Test will be available in both English and Tamil.

Application Fees for TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2026
1. There is a one-time Registration Fee of Rs. 150/- (valid for 5 years). Candidates who are already registered are not required to register again.
2. There is an Examination Fee of Rs. 100/-, which is for the TNPSC Group 4 exam only.
Note- The fee is payable by online mode through Net Banking / Credit card / Debit card on or before the last date of submission of the online application
3. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars)/ Scheduled Tribes/ Persons with Benchmark Disability/ Destitute Widow are exempted from the TNPSC Group 4 Examination Fee.
4. Most Backward Classes/ Denotified Communities/Backwards Classes (Other than Muslim)/ Backward Classes (Muslim) have 3 free chances, while Ex-Servicemen have 2 free chances.
